I've had the pleasure to work with Emma while at Crush Inc. As well, I've had the privilege to work on a joint project with Smith while working for BRASS COFFEE, which Emma was my main contact. Emma is very organized, adaptable, and kept me sane while helping me navigate my first big project as a production coordinator. She was always patient, helpful and understanding. I would recommend Emma as a post production producer to any who ask. Thanks Emma!

Operations Manager | Financial Controller | AP/AR | Studio Management
-
Oct 2022 - Feb 2023
Launching any start-up comes with many hidden challenges; ones I used my vast toolbox of skills to overcome before they had the chance to become obstacles for a quick moving production company. I immediately built a sturdy foundation for Undivided utilizing intuitive policies and streamlined procedures for payroll, project management, expense reporting, AP/AR, and day-to-day operations. It was this foundation that allowed for the founders’ visions to flourish knowing all the nuances and finer details behind the scenes had been handled with great competence and experience. As a Swiss Army knife of skillsets, ongoing duties of vendor relations, project management, logistics, scheduling, and management of in-house IT requirements were executed in a manner allowing for seamless daily operations. Trusted as the primary keyholder, it was paramount that I maintained strict security policies including ever-changing access controls, while also ensuring all essential logistics were met to provide a consistent production ready environment.Proving myself as deeply loyal and committed with the utmost discretion to privacy, I proved myself invaluable as the financial controller, keeping meticulously organized documentation, reconciling all finances across the organization. The culmination of my efforts directly resulted in a workspace and studio culture that supported the open flow of creativity and collaboration free from distractions. I took immense pride in maintaining this daily environment, allowing the creatives to be uninhibited in what they do best. Show less

Operations Manager | Head of Client Services
-
Jul 2018 - Aug 2020
As Operations Manager & Head of Client Services at a boutique media company having a strong relationship with clients as well as staff was a key component to this role. I was responsible for helping to set the tone and establishing the culture of the office and then maintain it. Having this positive family like culture dictated the way we worked together as well the way in which individual staff were treated on a daily basis. I was responsible to ensure that the needs of our clients, our staff, the company, and our building were met. To give you some examples of the range of my role: I re-designed and oversaw the renovations of work suites, new company offices and the main lobby. I was developing a new accounting process that would be cohesive between multiple sister companies. I managed all of those companies’ credit cards and statements. I oversaw the operational budgets (quarterly/annual) and made sure each company were adhering to them. I also on-boarded new staff and hired/oversaw our client service employees both for the day-to-day sessions as well as for events. In Client Services I ensured that every client was greeted and their needs were met as they walked through the door. I would keep track of special days like birthdays and promotions and have special desserts and/or drinks ready for them. In the facility, I coordinated the building maintenance vendors (pest control, snow removal, HVAC, cleaners). I also took care of having a fully stocked and functioning kitchen, designated First Aid areas, shredding services, Uber (rides and eats). As a Freelance Producer I would fill in when the other producers were on holidays, or facilitate Mile Inn's internal projects. I understood the need for our office to feel like a family. And this culture fostered trust that our client's business was in the right hands. Show less

In this extremely fast paced and demanding environment, I worked as Post Production Producer. I demonstrated strong skills in organization, time management and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects and tasks at the same time. I also needed to be proactive, analytical and efficient with problem-solving. In this roles, I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of projects within Editorial, Colour Grading, CG, Design, Audio and VFX/Online. I managed assets received from other companies as well as those completed in-house. I worked collaboratively with artists, agencies, clients and other team members to ensure feedback was incorporated and needs were addressed to deliver the best quality projects on-time and on-budget. My projects included television shows, films(feature and shorts), advertising campaigns, interactive displays and music videos. This role also required me to have very good relationship with clients and employees, have a critical eye for detail, wear many hats, foresee any problems and find creative ways to solve them. I saw the successful completion of countless ad campaigns and many times I was asked for by name by our clients. This role demonstrates an amazing track record of projects being completed end - to - end. Key Examples: Advertising Campaigns - Canadian Tire, Kelloggs, Bud Light, Pan Am Games, Tropicana, Boston Pizza, Guinness, Baileys, BMO, Terry Fox Foundation, Kibbles 'n Bits, Volkswagen Television - Can you Imagine That! Music Videos - Mother Mother, Kandle Design (for print and animation) - Fuse Top 100, Billy on the Street, Seattle Woodland Park Zoo Short Films - Josef & Aimée, Lost in Motion Feature Films - Man Vs.
