Apr 2011 - Nov 2022
In April 2011 I oversaw the opening of our Mayfair office and was instrumental in its day to day running, until our relocation in 2014. Over the past decade I have supported a variety of department heads, senior portfolio managers and analysts. Most recently with the addition of the director of sustainable investing and senior ESG analyst to my team. As I have grown in efficiency and agility, I have sought out new responsibilities outside of my EA role, such as with the launch of the internal IM events calendar. As well as building it from scratch I maintained the content which was designed to be a creative solution to the problem “how do we see things differently to our peers?” Administrative duties included travel and expenses, diary management, communicating between the various business units and working “behind the scenes” to make my teams’ lives easier. Research duties included liaising with external brokers to arrange conferences and field trips, running and compiling portfolio reports, creating charts and analysing performance data. In the last two years my role expanded into corporate access and I was instrumental in the development and expansion of our internal corporate access efforts. This involved arranging meetings directly and helping foster deeper and more meaningful relationships with the companies we invest in. Show less

PA / Office Manager
-
Mar 2006 - May 2011
I joined Milligan in its relative infancy to a small team of six and from the offset there was a strong sense of camaraderie. PA duties included managing and coordinating the CEO and CFO’s complicated schedules, organising meetings and conferences, compiling reports and presentations, taking minutes and booking travel. Understanding their priorities and using my initiative to problem solve was key. In addition I got to utilise my marketing skills, arranging strategy days and special events such as our summer and Christmas parties and taking care of in-house catering. I also took the lead on various initiatives to create efficiencies and reduce our overheads. These included re-negotiating the lease, monitoring and negotiating office costs as well as streamlining the company database and reorganising the electronic filing system. Other office manager duties included overseeing repairs and maintaining office equipment, managing our mobile phone contract, ordering stationery and processing invoices and company expenses. Prior to that working as a secretary in the housing and commercial property departments. My role developed to include marketing assistant, when the firm set up its first ever marketing department.
