  Resurgo exists to help communities overcome social challenges through unique social ventures. The charity's initiatives bring together skills and resources from across the wider neighbourhood, and tackle complex issues in a transformative way.Spear is one of these social ventures and exists as an initiative to inspire and help unemployed young people to overcome disadvantage to enter and sustain employment. With eight centres across London we will help over 720 young people this year through a six-week pre-employment programme and ongoing follow-up support. My role is to manage the Spear centre located in Fulham, I work both directly in the training room with the young people and in the community to build local links and reach as many young people as we can.
