After two years of experience lifeguarding I was elected beach manager position, opening and closing the beach to the public and managing swim lesson sign ups and payment. I taught swim lessons at the Fairlee Town Beach for all 5 years and worked closely with the town administrator to build a better set of lesson skills and beach hours. As beach manager I also made the lifeguard schedule and planned employee meetings to talk through any issues or challenges that were faced during shifts. I earned a scholarship to the University of Delaware for their Division I diving program. I had the opportunity to work alongside amazing athletes, both in swimming and diving and other sports at the university.
