My research with the Education Department at the College of St. Benedict is titled, The Chemistry of Learning: How Emotions, Text Difficulty, and Reading Goals Influence Comprehension. The study is being performed at the College of St. Benedict with introductory education and chemistry students. Thus far, significant interactions between text difficulty and emotion have been observed. Data continues to be collected on the 3-way interaction with reading goal. I am passionate about sharing this research, and I am excited to apply the findings in my classroom! Show less

I performed my research at NETL as part of the Research & Development department with the Sensors and Controls Team. My project title was: Testing of the Raman Gas Analyzer for Natural Gas and Syngas Applications. My research was to determine the lower limit parameters of the NETL-Raman Gas Analyzer, a recently-developed spectroscopy instrument, that leads to the identification and quantification of gases in a mixture.
