Sales Advisor

Oct 2023 - Present
Working as a sales advisor cements my strong communication skills, as this role is centred around customer-facing interactions. My role demands that I hold a good level of knowledge about specific teas and coffees, so I can provide accurate and honest recommendations to customers. The role also requires that I maintain certain stock levels, and package teas to match the demand. Packaging teas requires a good eye for detail, as it is critical that forms are filled with the correct details - for stock management and legal purposes. Having a part-time job whilst engaging in University studies, and other activities, further demonstrates my time-management skills and dedicated work ethic. Show less

Working in such a fast-paced and energetic environment was invaluable. Although daunting at first I quickly built an active awareness of the job's demands; such as delivering highly accurate orders whilst ensuring quick and friendly customer service. Each shift would bring new responsibilities as I would be placed on a variety of different stations throughout the day. These included order taking, taking payments, making beverages and order assembly- so flexibility was key. This role therefore allowed me to develop strong problem solving skills whilst taking a proactive approach to ensure the success of the whole crew. Working part-time whilst studying for my A-levels was initially tough to balance, but enabled me to develop strong time-management and prioritisation skills. Show less

Customer Service Internship

Jul 2019 - Jul 2019
I shadowed multiple departments across Siemens Healthineers, gaining strong commercial awareness and insight into how internal decisions are influenced by economic outlook. The departments I shadowed included logistics, customer services, and finance. My tasks included analysing sales data and quantifying large data sets, of which I gained a solid understanding of Microsoft Excel. By the end of the internship I had developed a great breadth of knowledge whilst pushing myself out of my comfort zone, by networking and constantly meeting new people. Show less
