Emma has honestly been a dream manager from the moment I arrived at ARU Students Union. She is compassionate, driven, confident, and friendly. She encourages her team to achieve the most they can, and celebrates our successes as much as her own. She has consistently been very understanding when unexpected changes happen and require adjustments. Emma is extremely skilled in public speaking, communication, line management, and conflict resolution. She shines in meetings and is always unafraid to speak her mind; due to this, she also gives excellent advice! As a manager she gives clear instruction and also is deft at making sure tasks and opportunities work for each individual member of her team. Anyone would be lucky to work alongside, opposite, or under Emma Howes, and her experience in teaching adds to her ability to be empathetic, tough-but-fair, and understanding.
