  I worked in the Department of Pediatric Surgery assisting with various research projects. I assisted with a pediatric thyroid consortium study, where I conducted a retrospective chart review on children with thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer by examining and compiling the different treatments for these issues. I also assisted on an adhesive small bowel obstruction (ABSO) study, where I conducted retrospective chart review on patients with the goal of learning more about 1-year outcomes in pediatric patients with an ASBO who initially undergo non-operative management before and after implementation of a non-operative management contrast challenge algorithm.
