  I provided mentoring services to children with special needs. My role as a mentor was to establish and create a positive relationship and environment for my mentee. I served as a role model by providing guidance, motivation, and emotional support. I created an individualized outcome-based plan that focused on my mentee's goals and needs, and worked towards these goals every visit. I created weekly progress notes after every visit to document success with goals and met with my supervisor monthly to assess progress made towards these goals and modified them as needed.
