Bio
Micky Levoguer
Emma is the rare sort of person who combines meticulous attention to detail, efficiency and a warm and inclusive spirit towards her co workers. When we worked together I trusted her completely to always bring projects in on time and to have considered all the details. She was skilled in 'managing up' to a range of academics, who are not always the easiest people to work with, and approaching everyone as an indivdual. This was crucial in a busy academic team and I relied on Emma to help shape events on our programmes as I knew she had a considerable depth of knowledge of the aims of our programmes. An excellent networker: she was invaluable in knowing just who to go to to troubleshoot: she prevented many a crisis unfolding. All of this with a sense of humour and humanity. I really miss working with her!

I have known Emma since 2006 when she worked within the King's College IT department responsible for supporting the new Accommodation Allocations System. Emma successfully demonstrated Project Management skills, which required exceptional organisational skills, empathy and understanding of user needs versus expectation mangement, and levels of diplomacy required to ensure a smooth transition. She was the first point of contact for the project acting as liaison between IT and Accommodation Services and showed herself to be a capable administrator maintaining a positive and can do attitude throughout the project. She was responsible for taking the minutes at Project Board, writing and implementing user test scripts and supporting the Accommodation Team during transition from one system to the new system.
