2018-... ASTOR Purchasing Department Creates, develops and deployes processes and tools that enable ASTOR to assess the true cost of purchased parts, processes and services and to use the resulting information to deliver cost reduction. Calculates the cost of the finished transformator so that the transformators’ sale price can be established. Negotiates prices and agrees contracts with 750 suppliers periodically. Carries out analysis for the new parts and negotiates and contracts with suppliers. Identifies the areas where opportunities for cost down and more secure parts delivery are greatest, engaging with the wider supply chain to support the continious delivery and cost improvement. Utilises electronic tendering system which assists in ensuring all of ASTOR procurement activity is conducted in an open and transparent manner and also reducing the administrative burden of the process. Conducts Make or Buy Analysis. Oversees contract management, and ensuring all time-scales and deadlines are adhered to. Purchases Raw Materials in the spot market. Manages materials purchase for the factory maintanance. Manages spare parts purchases for production and processing machines. Outsources ASTOR’s building constraction and maintanance services.
