Rarely have I seen a college student come into an office for an internship and make herself irreplaceable. Emily did just that, joining a small law firm and proving she was capable of so much more than just scanning, copying papers and doing ‘busy work’. I had the pleasure of working with Emily this summer as she was quickly trusted with editing and writing both office documents and marketing materials and helping to organize legal files. She was tasked with assisting on a major project and was adept at both organization of materials and creating functional forms. Particularly impressive was the combination of speed and accuracy with which she delivered her work every day, as well as her commitment to being in the office full time over the summer. Despite being challenged like any other seasoned pro, Emily’s smile, positive spirit, and willingness to jump in with both feet never wavered. Proving herself too valued to be just a summer hire, Emily remains part of the team and we are delighted to continue to be able to count on her. Wherever Emily lands as a professional, she will be an asset to any organization for both her talent and her spirit.
