Maintenance Engineering Co-op Student

- Developed a documentation database for equipment bill of materials gathered from suppliers for pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, etc. - Developed a procedure for proper documentation of bill of materials. - Completed a Management of Change (MOC) report to evaluate pressure monitoring on two expansion tanks in the boiler house and design an alternative solution to monitor the condition of the expansion bladders. - Presented the MOC for review and approval by plant engineers and made a recommendation based on risk, cost, and feasibility analysis. - Completed an Engineer Request (ER) to identify ventilation requirements of a biogas compressor room in accordance with the provincial and federal standards. - Developed an orientation package for future co-op students and trained a new co-op student in the position. - Developed a database for streamlined documentation for fire door inspection. Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student

- Created and revised existing drawings to reflect equipment changes for fabrication in the machine shop, as well as DXF files for water jetting. - Designed parts and equipment in SolidWorks for use in maintenance activities throughout the plant. - Designed inspection sheets to streamline the documentation process for the overhaul of various multistage vertical turbine pumps. - Developed overhaul procedures for horizontal and vertical pumps, gearboxes and a vulcanizer. - Developed Management of Change (MOC) for obsolete equipment replacement (Including: vendor communications, pipe specification adherence, etc…) - Performed flow calculations related to multi-stage vertical turbine pumps. - Participated in safe work practices and regular department safety meetings. Fume Hood and Eyewash Station Technician

• May 2019 - Aug 2019

- Performed the certification of approximately 2000 fume hoods, eyewash stations and safety showers on campus. - Assessed test data against pass/fail certification criteria and communicated status to maintenance department as needed. - Developed a cloud-based Google Sheets document to compile data for supervisors which allowed them to efficiently access certification data. This document also ensured all of the required information was collected from each test. - Completed face velocity testing using an anemometer on Variable Air Volume (VAV) and Control Air Volume (CAV) fume hoods. - Co-authored the official fume hood testing report for the work that was completed in the National Institute for Nanotechnology (NINT) building.
