As Data Coordinator, I fill a variety of roles at CiTi BOCES: Maintaining the organization's student management system (SchoolTool), parent contact system (School Messenger), and professional development system (Frontline); Completing all state and federal educational reporting requirements, including VADIR, CRDC, APPR, and BEDS, as well as on-going student data uploads to NYSED; Assisting with the administration, analysis, and reporting of state assessments, including 3-8 Math and ELA, NYSAA, and Regents exams; Assisting with the administration and analysis of internal benchmark assessments, including DIBELS and STAR; Assisting with grading procedures, including report card development and standards-based grading practices; Leading data meetings, following the Data Wise protocols, to help teachers develop data-informed, individualized instruction; Coordinating grant applications between BOCES programs, community groups, and an external grant writing service; Communicating with component district staff regarding student progress and data; Offering professional development opportunities to BOCES and component district staff on topics including data analysis, transcript maintenance, culturally-sensitive education, computer-based testing administration, and gradebook options; Assisting with special projects as needed, such as the district's COVID response, county-wide ballot distribution, and mental health and restorative justice initiatives.
