Assistant Teacher
-
Jan 2018 - Jul 2018
During my final semester at CSULB, I worked in the Child and Family Center. The Center is an NAEYC accredited site that provides training for early childhood professionals, as well as quality child care for CSULB employees. I was invited to apply for the position after completing a semester of fieldwork at the Center. I assisted the lead teachers in caring for the toddler and preschool-age children, while also mentoring the fieldwork students. My responsibilities included guiding the children through activities and personal care routines, recording field observations, abiding by NAEYC accreditation standards, designing and implementing lessons in the classroom, and engaging with parents. I also mentored the fieldwork students on site through daily conversations, assisting them with their lesson plans, and offering constructive feedback. Show less
