Jul 2022 - Present
My tasks include but are not limited to: - Completely rewriting and bringing up to date all of the operational documentation, especially pertaining to risk assessments and health and safety, to ensure best practice - Facilitating the updating and defining of operating procedures for each of the main teams, especially the operations and crewing teams, making sure roles are defined and understood - Carrying out dynamic risk assessments of potential sites for the mobile lounge - Updating and supplying documentation required by the trusts for each visit, site-specific infection control measures, risk assessments and any special procedures - Restructuring, and completely rewriting the very comprehensive Volunteers’ Manual into a coherent, user-friendly guide, in line with other volunteer resources, making it easier to read and improving accessibility. Since its implementation, feedback and data have confirmed that this new document has facilitated further volunteer participation and engagement - Analysing data from all aspects of the charity, including visitor numbers, engagement and feedback from both service users and volunteers, and composing and publishing reports of the findings to share with other teams, Trusts and service users, and the charity’s Board of Directors Show less

Cabin Manager

Jun 2021 - Aug 2022
In answer to demand during the pandemic, European Cargo was set up to import lateral flow tests from China. As Cabin Manager, it was my responsibility to manage onboard in-flight safety, specialising in fire safety. I held regular safety briefings with all the Cabin Crew, conducted their operational competency checks before boarding, and allocated areas of responsibility. I would crosscheck and oversee that all cargo onboard was compliant with IATA regulations, including packing and loading safety, security, and dangerous goods requirements. I was responsible for inspecting the suitability, security, and location of emergency equipment within the aircraft cabin and holds. My ability to remain calm and flexible in a dynamic situation, as well as my excellent communication skills and ability to pass on safety critical information in a timely manner ensured the health, safety, and welfare of all those on board.
