At Airam, I worked with state and federal governments to inform their Medicaid programs. My main tasks included policy development, brainstorming programmatic changes with the client, as well as creating public facing materials (memos, trainings, brochures, etc.). I also analyzed enrollment for Medicaid plans to help the clients manage the growth of their programs. At Airam, I worked with state and federal governments to inform their Medicaid programs. At NYS Department of Health, I reviewed and corrected documents for the 2019 Public Health Accreditation Board application. With the knowledge gained from the 2019 Public Health Accreditation Board application, I created a Sustainability Plan to provide multi-year guidance for the future 2024 accreditation process. Lastly, I updated and restructured multiple online training's available to public health employees through NYLearnsPH.com. At the United Way of Northern Chautauqua County, I was able to grow my skills managing projects and community outreach initiatives. I was tasked with leading a literacy initiative that distributed free books to over 2000 children in the county. I also creating an analysis of all United Way programs in New York State, and developed a survey assessing the knowledge of community members about their local resources. Also, I learned how to analyze policies and advocate by writing letters to elected officials and attending events with community leaders. Some other notable initiatives that I led included a community art contest for local children, as well as a laundromat library initiative. This initiative provided children books to local laundromats to enhance children’s access to education materials.
