Primary Art Teacher
-
Sep 2018 - Present
In my current role as subject leader for Art and D. T. I have created and implemented an exciting and innovative curriculum which is inclusive, progressive and heavily skills based. My aim is that the children I teach leave year 6 with a positive can do attitude towards their creativity and with confidence to continue exploring the many mediums they have used this far. I am very interested in the link between Art and wellbeing and attended a foundation course in art psychotherapy in 2021at Roehampton University in order to create and implement a new wellbeing intervention called Creative Minds. This intervention is now offered to our most vulnerable children across three primary schools within the BET. I currently spend two days teaching and two days running my intervention. Show less
