Professor Emily R. Manz is one of the most influential professors I have had throughout my time at Rutgers University - Newark in the School of Public Affairs and Administration. She is passionate, driven, inspiring, and a motivating individual who seeks to help her students not only during class time but outside of class doors through valuable career advice and providing her students with resources for success. She encourages students to build professional relationships and also at the same time connects with them on a personal level. Over last two years I had the opportunity to take four classes with her 1) Leadership for Service Professionals 2) Public Service Responsible Citizen 3) The United states and Global Urban Experience 4) Public Service Organizations each impacting me positively. All of these classes have helped me carve a career path in nonprofit administration. Professor Manz is a valuable asset to any institution, team, business, and organization as she brings her vibrant personality, trailblazing ideas, engaging teaching-style, and genuine concern for the betterment of her students.

Emily is an exceptional consultant who is quick to understand client needs and creative in offering appropriate approaches and solutions. I worked with Emily while she was our US in-market representation for the inward investment agency for the city of Newcastle upon Tyne, U.K. During this time Emily generated a number of investment ready leads with companies suited to the industry sectors and business base advantages of the city. She identified companies, formed compelling proposals and arranged full and productive visit programmes when I travelled out to New York and Boston. It is clear that Emily understands what drives businesses and so is credible and well respected by clients and peers throughout. Not only that, but she is also a fun and dependable person to work with. I hope that I will be able to work with Emily again in the future and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her to anyone considering working with her.
