Using samples collected from REU during the summer of 2016 an independent research project was created to explore the human cremation burials of Bronze Age peoples excavated in Hungary. The analysis primarily looked at bone composition and crystallinity using Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) . Results were presented at the 2017 meeting of the Society for American Archaeology (SAA) and in a senior thesis for the Science and Technology Honors Program.
