  I work directly with our head physical therapist to complete a patients flow sheet. The flow sheet consists of patient specific exercises each patient needs to complete for their rehabilitation before they are seen by the head physical therapist. It is part of my job to communicate and demonstrate the exercises with each patient, and ask for their feedback throughout their program while working smoothly as a team with the other technicians. This requires good communication so exercise equipment is not backed up and patients experience efficient and friendly care free of stress.

  I have been accepted into Atlantis's clinical shadowing fellowship program where I traveled to Spain for four weeks in the summer to complete clinical observations in Hospital Arquitecto Marcide. This amazing experience helped me further my aspirations as a pre-medical student by giving me exposure to the healthcare of another country, allowing me to experience and appreciate another culture, and prepare me to navigate the increasingly diverse environment of the medical field, both abroad and within the United States. I have been able to shadow doctors in Cardiology, Nephrology, Gastronomy, Ophthalmology, Trauma, and Orthopedics while learning how to care for patients both medically and on a compassionate level.
