Substitute Teacher
-
Oct 2022 - Present
This is currently a temporary position and I can leave at any time. In this position, I took on jobs at the last minute, taught all subjects, and followed the curriculum given by the absentee teacher. I provided instruction, took attendance, encouraged learning and participation, and assigned classwork. In the case of no work left by the absentee teacher, I am required to find work for the children to occupy themselves. I reported incidents regarding student behavior in and out of the classroom according to school policies. This job is allowing me to be flexible and to look for new positions. Show less

Jun 2022 - Nov 2022
I worked alongside The Nature Conservancy, the New York Department of Transportation, and the New York Department of Environmental Conservation. As a team, we followed state, federal, and local herbicide guidelines. Worked in all different terrains and temperatures. I identified and eradicated invasive species and assessed the appropriate manner of removal. As a team, we then removed the invasives to make better environments for the native plant species. I collected and analyzed data through field mapping and GIS technologies to locate and map invasive species. I also reported herbicide usage for future data. Show less
