Logistics Specialist
-
Jul 2018 - Jul 2019
My job as a Logistics Specialists consisted of many responsibilities which include:• Web fulfillment: I navigated the store to fulfill online orders, and consistently achieved high fulfillment rates. I then made sure the merchandise was ready for delivery by ensuring the item was in pristine condition for the customer.• Delivery: I packed customer orders and readied them to process through a retail shipping software. I was also responsible for ensuring all hazardous materials (cosmetics, batteries, etc.) were shipped correctly by following the Federal Hazardous Materials Regulations. • ICT / Nordstrom Outbound: I processed customer returns, merchandise needing to be sent to Nordstrom Racks across the country, and return to vendor merchandise. I also processed cosmetic damages, where different brands require different damaging processes; some vendors want the damages back, and others do not. Each of these transferring processes is different, and requires special training so that there is no company shrink, and future inventory problems.• Pricing: On occasion, I was responsible for reviewing the pricing report for the store, and consolidating it for all the department managers at Nordstrom so that it was easy to read, and done in a timely manner. This helps make sure pricing was accurate throughout the store for when the store underwent a pricing audit. I also helped departments scan merchandise when needed to determine price changes.• Nordstrom Inbound: On occasion, I helped receive the truck in the morning and process all the incoming merchandise for the store. While this job was not necessarily difficult, it is very important in terms of inventory control and making sure there are no mis-shipments and all items on the manifest were received in the amounts specified.I learned a lot about inventory control at a retail store, and developed a lot of skills to understand the operation side more fully in a retail environment. Womens Shoe Department Sales Associate

May 2014 - Jul 2019
I consistently maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by utilizing my vast product knowledge and ability to keep up with current trends, which, in turn, has helped me build long-term relationships with customers. To keep these relationships strong, I regularly check in with my clients to follow up on previous purchases, suggest merchandise, as well as communicate any events or promotions happening in the future. I also promote the Nordstrom Rewards program to new customers to generate new Nordstrom loyal customers. I consistently receive high sales recognition, and I finished in the top five with highest sales during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (Nordstrom's biggest sale) each year, with the first two years having been top seller. Appointments with my clients, as well as constantly building new relationships helped me build my sales numbers each year. Show less
