Equestrian Department Head Manager

Managed a department of 10 staff members, to deliver a high-quality equestrian education to 94 young students, ages 10–16. Responsibilities included teaching lessons to riders, creating and managing an annual budget for the program, training new staff members, creating weekly schedules, overseeing the care of 32 horses, administering medications in close coordination with a veterinary team, organizing horse shows and overseeing a 16-member drill team. As part of a 60-hour community service project, I assisted a certified therapeutic riding instructor as she worked with autistic and physically disabled students, both in the ring and on trails, to improve their balance, self-esteem, and physical well-being. I also volunteered with a riding program that guided younger students on hour-long pony rides.
