I worked alongside Emily during her internship with the Kiewit Organization in the Summer of 2020. At the peak of a global pandemic and in the midst of uncertainty and remote work difficulties, Emily was agile and responsive to an otherwise new reality of work -- learning new applications, new responsibilities, and challenging herself to stay adaptive to multiple demands in new environments. Emily was a contributor to our Virtual Internship Program, which connected more than 800+ interns across North America. I worked on a handful of projects including: organizing the tiers of universities we recruit from so we can make the best use of our time and money, interviewing engineers on how Kiewit's relocation process has influenced their careers so we can better present this data to new hires, discovering potential new hires in the LinkedIn Recruting Seat and analyzing data to determine how we can decrease the number of renegs and declines we recieve on a yearly basis specifically with interns and new hires. My second rotation was with Talent Development where I helped with organizing and crosschecking agendas for upcoming training schools, planning customer services training, updating employee databases, and visiting different training centers and district locations across America to better understand our training processes.
