I engaged Emily to help me move from proof of concept to MVP and it was a great decison. Emily is great at productizing ideas with a great blance of discipline and creativity and just a joy to work with. One of the many things I appreciate is her range, we can talk though high level strategy or she'll help QA a new release. Just one of many great traits!

Emily was my key product partner at WaterSmart Software for 5 years and a fabulous collaborator. She brought a data-driven approach to validating product development and was always a forceful advocate for the customer perspective. She would continually challenge leaders across every department to clearly articulate the problem we were trying to solve, and would hold us accountable for justifying product investments with a strong financial business case. Emily was particularly instrumental in launching a new electronic payments initiative that became the fastest line of new revenue growth in the history of waterSmart. Not only is Emily a great colleague, but she is also a wonderful person and I would not hesitate for a moment to work with her again given the opportunity. Any enterprise software organization would be better off to have her on their team.

Codingscape is a custom software development company specializing in high-quality development projects. Our team of Senior Software Engineers are all based in North America and are experts at contributing to your projects quickly. Codingscape recruits senior product managers, visual designers and front and back-end developers that can augment your current dev team to help launch or iterate on a new product, or implement internal tooling your dev team doesn't have the bandwidth for. My projects have included: > Implementing Twilio Flex for the support team at a company in hyper growth mode. This company's dev team was focused on building out their core product and didn't have the expertise or resources to implement and configure a support center solution. We worked with their support and development teams to understand the requirements and implemented Flex within a few months, allowing them to scale up to support their growth. > Creating the product roadmap for a B2B SaaS solution. The CTO at this company had been managing the roadmap, but realized they needed help. I interviewed customers and other stakeholders and created a product strategy and roadmap to help them grow revenue and engagement. Our visual designer and 2 developers worked with their developers to overhaul their product in 6 months. > Working with a young B2B SaaS company in the cannabis ERP space to align the CEO, sales, dev and customer support teams around a single product strategy. I interviewed their customers to uncover integration and onboarding problems and documented solutions for the development team to implement. Show less

I help SaaS companies develop and launch compelling products that address pervasive and urgent market needs. Are you looking for someone to build a product roadmap? Or maybe you want to relieve the CTO or CEO from product management tasks so they can focus on other things? Here are some things I can do for you: > Interview customers to learn what problems they need help with > Create a product roadmap that aligns with your company goals and satisfies unmet customer needs > Design and implement product design and development process for your company that will help you efficiently prioritize future product development so the whole team knows what to build next > Conduct quantitative and qualitative user testing to identify problems before shipping > Manage the design, configuration and development of internal tools so your engineers can focus on your core product > Translate vague product ideas into clear requirements so your developers know exactly what to build Show less

As VP of the product team at WaterSmart, I was responsible for creating and managing a market-driven product roadmap that was aligned with company goals of increasing revenue, growing our customer base and maintaining customer retention. I managed a team of product managers and visual designers, and collaborated with colleagues in Marketing, Customer Success, Sales and Engineering to deliver high quality products that met urgent and pervasive market needs. In addition to designing and implementing new processes to scale the business and improve product-market fit, I gave regular presentations to the company, to customers, prospects, the board and potential investors.WaterSmart was acquired by VertexOne in Spring of 2020. As a product manager for WaterSmart, I am responsible for prioritizing, designing, developing and launching new products and features to help our utility customers engage their customers in saving water. My role requires both quantitative skills (e.g., creating mathematical algorithms to analyze residential water use) and qualitative skills (e.g., usability improvements).
