Conducted field work, wildlife monitoring, data collection, and analysis essential to the conservation of endangered and persecuted species in the region (Apennine wolf, Eurasian griffon vulture, and Marsican brown bear, Eurasian wildcat). -Collected presence data (using camera traps, direct sightings, and indirect signs) and DNA samples of key species.-Taught interns R and troubleshooted issues to conduct a habitat suitability analysis for the Apennine wolf.-Provided instruction in QGIS to streamline the organization and presentation of transect data.-Utilized GPS tracking data and QGIS to select high risk areas to monitor power lines for Griffon vulture mortalities.-Tracked Griffon vulture diet and wildlife persecution through monitoring carcass feeding events.-Mitigated negative human wildlife interactions through practical measures to control wildlife movement such as electric fence building and fruit tree pruning/planting.-Created photographic record of Eurasian griffon vulture wind turbine mortalities for public awareness and future mitigation lobbying.
