I am currently designing costumes for our production of La Dispute. My work on this production has given me valuable insight and experience to the joys and frustrations of costume design. The cast of ten features a variety of ages and social classes from the later part of 18th century France. This was accomplished by pulling costumes from all over Lancaster city and creating some of the looks on my own from scratch. My time on this show has allowed me to experiment with pattern making, altering, wigs and more while I collaborated with the director to find the clothes that would allow the actors to truly realize their characters.
