  I reported on crime and public safety and health on and off-campus, as well as breaking news as it concerned crime and safety. I wrote about dire and sensitive issues such as deaths and threats to safety. I work well under time pressure and can write breaking news articles promptly. I wrote at least two, 540+ word articles with regular deadlines weekly, plus breaking news generally once or twice weekly. I attended and live-tweeted press conferences held by police and lawmakers at the Capital. I also maintained relationships by regularly contacting and interviewing authorities on and off-campus including UT Police, UT spokespeople, Austin City Council members and the Austin Police and Fire Departments.
