• First data scientist hire for the company. In a team of two, established and proved viability of a data science function in under 3 months.• Built out a Data Mart for Data Science, providing a holistic view of customers from scratch, covering 5-6 areas of the company, including digital behaviour, customer demographic and customer contact. • Created and deployed a suite of predictive and prescriptive ML XGBoost models that score all customers daily ($2/month) for likelihood to churn at different time horizons, yielding up to 8x uplift in identifying churners vs baseline. To optimise these models, designed cross validation and feature selection using backward elimination, improving these models by relative 25%. • Working across teams, with PMs I assisted in automating prescriptive churn treatments, that reduced churn by relative 15% vs baselines, as well as 45% ROI with a payback period of one month. • Single-handedly maintain 6 models, covering churn, reactivation and RAF prediction, including thorough testing and documentation and regular updates to the company through a monthly newsletter and separate Model Performance report. • Solo design and implementation of a data science roadmap.
