  I taught in Gwinnett County Public Schools for two years teaching students with special needs. The classroom was designed for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. While teaching in this classroom, I collaborated with general education teachers and special education teachers to design instruction that met the needs of my students while focusing on the Georgia Standards of Excellence. During the 2020/2021 school year, I had the opportunity to mentor new teachers in Gwinnett County Public Schools. I mentored four teachers throughout the year and helped them learn new teaching strategies, behavior management, technology, and resources to support our students through virtual learning. Show less
