  Responsible for teaching Art to grades 9 - 12. Taught Art 1 classes, Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Digital Photography and Graphics. Developed new courses in Animation, Theater Set Design and a Virtual Art History class. Facilitated an on-going staff development project as Vertical Team Leader, designing a k-12 Art Curriculum Document. Took student work to Scholastics, The Youth Art Month exhibit in Montpelier, the County Art Show, and an annual District Evening with the Arts. Attended 2 professional developments in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Assessment conference and the Summer Technology Institute.   For two years, I taught at Beaver River Central School as an Elementary/Middle School Art Teacher, responsible for grades 1-8. This was my first full-time teaching position. While there, I coordinated the elementary/middle school art program, overhauled the K-8 curriculum, creatively managed a limited budget, and displayed multiple exhibits of student work within the school and community. Team teaching projects with classroom teachers was also a focus. Additionally, I submitted entries to the Scholastic Juried Art Show, became an Advisory Council Member, sent work to several poster contests and mentored a student teacher.
