For two years, I taught at Beaver River Central School as an Elementary/Middle School Art Teacher, responsible for grades 1-8. This was my first full-time teaching position. While there, I coordinated the elementary/middle school art program, overhauled the K-8 curriculum, creatively managed a limited budget, and displayed multiple exhibits of student work within the school and community. Team teaching projects with classroom teachers was also a focus. Additionally, I submitted entries to the Scholastic Juried Art Show, became an Advisory Council Member, sent work to several poster contests and mentored a student teacher. I was granted permanent certification in NY State at the end of these two years. 9/99 – 6/01 Show less
