Hidden Harvest is a not-for-profit community organisation combating climate change by providing communities with the skills to tackle food waste and serve up a sustainable future. I am a core member of the organisation’s team of five and work to strengthen the relationship Hidden Harvest has with our current community of volunteers, interns, followers, participants and external stakeholders. This role utilises digital media strategies to turn our fans into participants, and our participants into advocates for our cause. The purpose of this role is to ensure our communications are effective, targeted and credible. In this role I maintain a thorough understanding of the wider Hidden Harvest community through constant listening and feedback loops, including regular surveying and active social media use. I am also required to maintain a thorough understanding of the current climate situation, referencing the UN Sustainable Development Goals. I have been both a volunteer and a paid employee of this organisation and have had experience organising sell-out community dinners, facilitating workshops, public speaking and building partnerships with other businesses and not-for-profits within the Illawarra region. I have experience running online fundraising campaigns to encourage donations to help us continue our mission. This role involves: events coordination, promotion, team leading and communication as well as enthusiasm and passion for the cause. I am confident using Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Wordpress, Squarespace, Twitter, Linktree, Mail Chimp, Survey Monkey, Google Forms and Eventbrite. Show less
