  I have had a year of experience in a laboratory setting, working within a team focusing on schizophrenia research and drug development. Over the course of this year, I have gained numerous different skills within a laboratory setting. I am most familiar with molecular cloning, gene manipulation, and DNA sequence analysis. I have had success making constructs using site-directed mutagenesis. In addition to this, I am comfortable with tissue culture and aseptic technique. Working in a lab has made me exceptional at working with a team and improved my communication with others. I continue to volunteer my time with this lab as I prepare to begin my new journey.
