As Student Event Lead I help with all major facilities planning for events throughout the year, camps, and conferences. I worked directly with various departments on campus like the Residence Life, Alumni Office, Student Activities, and Presidents office. I assist with event set up on campus (indoor and outdoor), which includes but not limited to: audio visual, tables, chairs, stage, and dance floor. Please state the major tasks and activities that this student position performs and/or participates in with your department.there is a high degree of confidentiality needed when working in this position. the following is a short description of some of the job duties: • Act as a representative of the College for external events, camps, and conferences. • Be helpful, informative, and courteous with all clients. • With the Event Facilities Manager, schedule and run all organized training sessions . • Prepare and organize necessary paperwork and equipment requested for events. • Prepare the ballroom, meeting rooms, and other areas according to the set-up sheet(s) and diagram(s). • Make sure doors are unlocked, call Public Safety as needed. • Operate AV equipment, lights and other equipment. • Return all equipment to storage following events. • Assist with equipment inventories.
