7th Grade Ancient History Teacher Full-time classroom teacher for 7th Grade Social Studies (Ancient Civilizations). I taught 4 sections (one mainstream, one SEI, and two foundational ESL classes). Class sizes averaged about 25 students with the highest class count being 29 students. Successfully planned and implemented lessons meeting the highly diverse needs of students in the class. Scaffolded assignments for students based on their appropriate access points to material. Focused on building SEL skills in addition to academic skills of students. Completed Practicum during first year of teaching. I did not have a traditional student-teaching experience. I completed my Practicum during the second semester of the 2020 school year in my own classroom. Observations were completed by UMass Dartmouth coordinators and in-school personnel.
