I was selected to be part of The Lincoln Company's annual Edinburgh Festival Fringe project in both 2015 and 2016. Each run in Edinburgh lasted from 5th to the 30th of August, performing in: C Main, C Cubed and C Too. I have performed in roles including: Fay in 'Loot' by Joe Orton (dir. Linford Butler), Viola in Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' (dir. Mark Brewer) and Jess in a piece of new writing, 'Happy Together'. I received special commendations in Broadway Baby reviews of both 'Happy Together' and 'Twelfth Night': Happy Together: "Brought arrestingly to life with some great performances [...] Both characters are multifaceted and their behaviour shifts dramatically over the course of the play, but [...] Bickerdike [gives a] confident and consistent interpretation of [her] characters’ twisted mental state [...] acting is just the right level of full-on to leave the audience bewildered but not overwhelmed by the play’s lightening pace and twisting plot." http://www.broadwaybaby.com/shows/happy-together/715671 Twelfth Night; "Standout performance [was] delivered by Emily Bickerdike (Viola) [...] [who] owned the stage with energy and vitality. Bickerdike's humble Viola is incredibly likeable and she is consistently wrapped in her character." (http://www.broadwaybaby.com/shows/twelfth-night/707528) Show less
