Food Server

Nov 2015 - Present
In this role I am a waitress and have had multiple hygiene, safety and customer service training allowing me to comfortably handle and serve food and drink. This role further improved my customer service through conversations and handling problems, developing quick results to a diverse range of problems. I have worked with the company for many years and gained many workplace skills from the environment and I am currently still employed with them under a casual contract for returning home from university. In this role I worked multiple telephone campaigns in the outreach program which involved calling alumni in creative fields to discuss their time studying and the development of their careers since graduating. This involved discussing my ongoing projects and gaining advice form experienced creatives and fundraising for at risk and vulnerable students and asking for donations to support more vulnerable and disadvantaged students that studies alongside myself. This role developed my communication skills and adaptability to have strong and passionate conversation with all types of people and to confidently discuss sensitive issues and ask for donations. This job position involved working behind a bar serving an array of alcoholic beverages, giving me basic training when handling and making drinks. With this I again developed my customer service skills adapting to a different work environment. In this role I also worked late night hours, reliably working throughout the night.
