Rebecca F.
In the time that I’ve known her, Emily has shown great initiative in her academics and the organizations that she’s been a part of. In our senior seminar class, Emily and I were paired in a group project in which we discussed race, equality, equity and the role every individual has in their neighborhood and the global community. Emily’s views on these topics were based on her experiences and she provided insight that many of our peers identified with. We met just a few times to prepare for our discussion but Emily was very easy to work with. She was respectful of my perspective and added to the comments I made on the subject. Emily is one of the most organized individuals I have ever met and her ability to get things done in advance made us well prepared for our discussion. I also worked with Emily in two organizations on campus. As the VP in Future Business Leaders of America, Emily was prompt for all meetings and did a phenomenal job updating members when they were unable to attend. Emily also served as the chair of many planning committees for the Emerging leaders program. From the very first week she was in the program, Emily displayed leadership skills and went above and beyond in how involved she was in the events that we organized. It was a pleasure working with Emily and I highly recommend her for any position that she seeks as I know she will help grow any organization she joins.
