Emily is one of the best instructors I have had the pleasure of knowing in my 13 years of teaching. Emily is an incredible team player who is always working on becoming even better at her craft. As a team member, I know I can always count on Emily to be on time and on track with her work. She is also a compassionate person in class. We share students as 12th grade teachers, and I have often heard the students state that they love how supportive Emily is and how aware she is of where her students are and what they need. They know that Ms. Cracolici will challenge them, but they also feel incredibly accomplished and proud of the work they do in her class. Emily is also a deeply caring person. She values our students for who they are and not what any arbitrary test number might say about them. She strives to get to know what drives our students. She has had an advisory graduate in her time at Bulls. I have had the pleasure of teaching most of those students. When they speak about Ms. Cracolici, their whole face lights up. She is their mom, their strongest advocate, their confidante, and their listening ear. Leading by example, she shows them it can be hard to let others see our vulnerabilities but there is also power that comes from building a community and learning to trust. Emily also built that trust with the parents/guardians of all her advisees. They were confident that if they had a question, Ms. Cracolici would have the answer (or find out if she did not know!). In addition to guiding her advisees and classroom students alike, Emily also coached Quiz Bowl and is the Summer of a Lifetime co-coordinator. Her many roles in the building ensure students understand that she is there for them, that she cares about them, and that she wants the very best for them.
