I supervised and worked very closely with Emily over two game projects in my time with working with her, and overall, I'm enormously proud of her and I recommend her highly. She started as an art intern at our studio, and from the very beginning she made a strong impression with her sharp artistic skills and efficient, diligent work ethic. In our time together Emily grew immensely in terms of both artistic and personal growth. She takes to learning new artistic workflows incredibly well and can create 3D assets of all shapes and styles, ranging to anything between things like realistic PBR terrain environments and stylized, painterly Zbrush character work. She has great range and is very adaptable. To top it off, Emily is a super wonderful and genuine person to be around. I always enjoyed every time I sat down with Emily to review her work, because she's great to talk to and she also takes direction really well. She's incredibly nice, is a strong team player, and has a great attitude about work. All in all, I could not have asked for a better junior artist to join our team.
Steve Snoey
I was overseeing the team that hired Emily and can proudly say I personally made the decision to hire her. There is no other way to say it: we struck gold! Despite coming on board directly from Digipen Emily was ready to go from day 1. She adapted to the environment, made friends and became part of our team and family. Emily's skills are exceptional. She does it all. Environments, characters, critters, statues. Her modeling and texture skills and wonderful and her work, even on objects one would consider mundane, have a kind of life and pizzazz that make them something more. She can do anything between cute and cartoony cel shading to modern PBR workflow. She has creativity to spare, making crafts and creations in the real world that are on par with her digital creations. If you are lucky enough to have her on your team not only will your product shine but the quality of your workplace will be vastly improved. Do the right thing and bring her on board.
