Our client was Hicksville Boys and Girls Club. We began putting together campaigns and strategies to assist the company with their audiences. There were eight of us, counting myself, with designated positions including event planning, corporate social responsibility, media relations, partnerships, social media, art director, & PR strategies. We started by analyzing their social media platforms & an interview to understand their needs & the environment more thoroughly. As a team, we brainstormed ideas and weighed what was feasible in our time period. Then we presented the weakness, opportunities, and objectives we found and what each chair would do to execute our goals of procreating more funds, updating all social media platforms, and creating a plan to uphold social media efforts for the future. We planned to hold a talent show to fundraise, post testimonials to show the importance of a donation, a campaign for Giving Tuesday, and more. Then we broke down each of our positions by steps to keep track of where we were in the process and the amount of work that needed to be completed. I sent out weekly deliverables on what needed to be completed after our weekly staff meetings. In the end, we created a unified presentation on how all these initiatives correlate to each other and provided a portfolio with all of our content including guides on how to execute our plan and create their own plans moving forward. The most challenging part of this process was the pinch in time because we only had a month and we had to get everything approved. We also had to restructure our plan due to the pandemic because we couldn't risk new members wanting to join after the event due to the small facilities and social distancing protocols, so we decided to hold off on the event until the pandemic subsides. This couldn't have been completed without my amazing team who adapted quickly with problem solving, efficiency, & communication skills.Tools utilized: Google Drive, GroupMe, and Canva.

To work well in this job I had to exhibit clear communication, teamwork, time management, problem-solving skills, and working well under high-pressure and stress. This is due to serving over 100 customers a day on weekends where I would sell about $3,000 a day. I was involved in multiple forms of customer service including making over 50 phone calls to confirm camping reservations, collecting payment from docks, adding reservations, and taking food and drink orders. I conducted managerial responsibilities such as making menus, developing pricing, setting up the POS in the computer, programing the cash register, and training at least three new employees on up-selling and greeting customers.
