After prepping my students with the lab materials, I let them take the lead and gain confidence on the bench by themselves. But, I was always there to help and answer questions. I also walked students through how to read a scientific paper and tested them on their retention throughout the semester. My students always had perfect scores by the end of the semester! Server and Hostess
-
Apr 2021 - Dec 2021
I worked alongside fellow servers during busy, understaffed, post-covid season. Although the job was often stressful, my coworkers and I made a great team! I always made an effort to check in with my coworkers to see if they are okay and if they need any help. This job taught me how to perform well and stay calm in high pressure environments. Research Intern
-
Jun 2019 - Aug 2019
I worked with fellow interns on a project that characterized the EEG patterns of children suffering from BECTS to better improve seizure prediction and treatment. My main job was to design a new database for this project. I then filled it in with relevant patient medical data and updated it throughout the summer. I also organized enrollment lists which were given to the project lead.
