Developing back-end solutions for data collection and management for the start-up nesteløp.no. Using Python and Firebase/Google Cloud Functions for data collection and management, and React typescript and Rest-APIs for front-end collection and presentation of data. The ambition is to present and maintain the most complete and up-to-date list of all running events. First in Norway and then extend the platform to multiple countries. Together with a great team of front- and back-end developers we are building a community for runners to easily find their next race and share experiences, pictures and comments from previous competitions. Worked on fluid-structure interaction problems arising in the modeling of the spinal cord and the surrounding cerebrospinal fluid. Modeling fluid-structure interaction problems requires huge computational resources, and the focus was to combine the reduced basis modeling with fluid-structure interaction problems in order to speed up the computations. Dr.scient. degree in numerical analysis (applied mathematics) from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, for work done on reduced basis modeling of complex flow systems. This work has since been continued in collaboration with Einar Rønquist at NTNU, Yvon Maday at Paris VI, and Simone Deparis at EPFL. The Reduced Basis Element project involves the numerical solution of PDEs on complex geometries, using both finite elements and spectral elements. In principle, the reduced basis method applies to all problems where the same PDE is solved for many different instantiations of some parameter, and compared to traditional solvers the speed-up is tremendous. In the Reduced Basis Element project the geometry of the computational domain is used as the variable parameter. Show less
