Our team is now involved in a "building bridges program", working on two new documentary projects for La Civiltà Cattolica, our official Vatican magazine, in coordination with Wah Yan College Kowloon and Jesuit Communication, Asia-Pacific. The Chinese Education TV will broadcast them in autumn 2021. A third project is the feature film "Gomburza" with the Jesuit Communication Philippines team, in Manila. In 2015, in Taiwan, we helped out on the set of the film Silence about a dozen times throughout March to May and had brief, but great conversations with the director, Martin Scorsese, the actors, and many other members of Scorsese’s accomplished team. Two Television stations in China broadcasted our Castiglione documentary, twice in April and once later in the year. The China broadcast resulted in Pope Francis’ phone call to KPS to congratulate us. This, in turn, led to the Pope meeting with KPS managers and Italian benefactors at the Vatican not long afterwards. It helped secure funds for a future China TV documentary on Matteo Ricci.
