As the Head of BI Solutions, I led an international team that grew from 3 to 12 employees, with diverse competencies and cultural backgrounds in BI, data engineering, data science, digital advertising, surveys, and brand tracking. We worked closely with our Nordic colleagues but also collaborated with the GroupM & WPP data teams in India and the US.Our team was responsible for scoping, architecting, and delivering Nordic and global Data solutions, taking media, marketing, sales, CRM and product data from a diverse array of platforms and integrating them into one cloud storage solution with pipelines, data models, dashboards, AI, and automation.In just 1.5 years, we went from creating only Power BI solutions in Denmark to creating entire data platform solutions on Azure and GCP with app creation, automation, and AI for global projects and brands. We transformed from a loss-making unit with approximately 1 million DKK in revenue in 2020 to a profitable revenue of more than 4 million DKK in 2021 with a projected growth of 40% in 2022.We established best practices for data governance and documentation, and helped other Nordic markets create Data solutions through workshops, agile project management, and DevOps.
