As Campaign Coordinator at Rutgers University-Newark, I diligently reviewed principal and major gift portfolios and developed individual engagement strategies with Development Officers, University Leadership and Campaign Operations to strengthen donor and alumni relationships. As a result, I served as the primary contact for ongoing relationships with private donors, corporations, and foundations to advance strategic and philanthropic priorities. In this role, I secured over 250 strategic meetings with domestic and international donors and partners across Europe, Asia, and Africa, both in person and via Zoom and WebEx. I worked with colleagues across the campaign, prospect management, and research to prepare confidential briefings for Development Officers, campaign communications, and impact reports to share with donors, potential institutional partners, and the community.I co-managed campaign and communications deliverables for the Rutgers-Newark campus centered around entrepreneurship, social justice, arts, climate change, and accessibility. Additionally, I partnered with Talent Management to create professional development courses, mentorship programs at the executive and intern levels, RUF hiring, and advanced the organization’s commitment and understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. As a Development Associate, I managed, consulted, and supported the creation of effective engagement strategies across five portfolios with different maturity levels. This resulted in a $2 million fundraising increase in my first year at Rutgers University-Newark. The program continued to achieve record-breaking fiscal years through my involvement in continued program review and maintenance. In addition, I am responsible for creating a new and sustainable donor pipeline made up of diverse high-level prospects reflective of populations served by the institution. During my time as Development Associate, my goal was to identify these individuals, build meaningful relationships with them and learn how underrepresented and misrepresented communities engage with philanthropy and anchor institutions. Additionally, I have designed, piloted, and launched the Student Scholarship Recipient Workshop—a now-signature event for the Newark campus. Show less
