Bio
Leah Skerry
I worked alongside Emilie in 2013 during the 21 Leaders program. Emilie is a rockstar when it comes to strategic consulting. She is sharp, detailed, strategic, nurturing and a consummate professional. Emilie's management style combines just the right amount of authority and humour. She has the unique ability to listen, quickly form smart questions, and offer steps to tangible results. If you are lucky enough to work with Emilie, you will feel like you can reach your goals without question. Emilie's pragmatic, problem solving approach makes her a true leader.

I first worked with Emilie in 2012 during the formal review of the Nova Scotia Regional Development Authorities. Eliminating the existing 12 Regional Development Authorities and establishing 6 new organizations (RENs) in Nova Scotia is a challenge and a complex process. The Panel made 25 recommendations for more effective regional economic development, dealing with mandate, core activities, governance, accountability, budget and geography. Emilie’s exceptional leadership, skills and knowledge were instrumental in operationalizing the Panel’s recommendations through organization and program development. I had the pleasure of working with Emilie again in my new role as Board Chair of the Western Regional Enterprise Network. Emilie was especially helpful to assist us with Board development and orientation. She is strong on process and strategy, team-building, and has great communication skills. She is honest, frank, able to say what she thinks without passing judgment, and sensitive to others and to the situation at hand.
