  As part of my role at Otago Polytechnic, I was an active researcher and submitted a portfolio for the PBRF in 2018. My research explores tourist subjectivity from a psychosocial perspective in order to approach the psychological in tourism studies in a non-reductive and culturally engaged way. My research has been published in the international journals Tourism Geographies and Tourism Recreation Research. I led the following research projects:- Volunteer tourism: A longitudinal perspective (2018)- The impact of international experience on student health professionals in Aotearoa NZ (2020)
