I spent three years as a site agent for Aurecon South Africa PTY (LTD) on the construction of Ultra Thin Reinforced Concrete Roads as well as the construction of hostels in townships around Pretoria. During my time as a site agent I also achieved my Labour Intensive Construction qualification at LIC level 5 and 7. I further acquired a qualification as a facilitator and assessor in the training of contractors in LIC 5 and 7. After my three year tenure as a site agent I moved to project management. As a junior Project Manager i worked under registered PMP project managers and was responsible for the management of several engineering teams, schedules, reports, liaising with the clients as well as the tracking and managing of project finances and project document control. The type of clients I have worked with range from up and coming BEE contractors to government departments (Department of Public Works and National Department of Health) as well as major private clients.
